Operativa Arte Contemporanea è lieta di presentare, per la prima volta nei suoi spazi, la personale di Diego Miguel Mirabella (Enna 1988). Dopo la sua partecipazione al progetto collettivo “Il Peso della Mia Luce”, con cui la galleria ha inaugurato la sua attività espositiva, l’artista si presenta al pubblico in un solo-show dal titolo “Entrano Fuggendo”. Il titolo, ripreso dalle note a margine di alcune commedie di Shakespeare, fa riferimento al concetto dello sguardo – già da tempo oggetto della ricerca di Mirabella – inteso come un flusso continuo, il quale viene interrotto dal passaggio delle cose, che entrano, si manifestano e fuggono dal campo visivo. Le opere in mostra si focalizzano proprio sul tentativo di mettere a fuoco una visione della realtà più prossima, cogliendo l’essenza di quelle interruzioni che attraversano il nostro sguardo, prima che le cose fuggano e si sovrappongano nell’orizzonte sfocato dell’interpretazione. La mostra si sviluppa in tre distinti momenti, che corrispondono a tre diversi cicli di lavori della recente ricerca dell’artista. Nell’installazione “Tutto Aperto, Tutto Chiuso” una continua caduta di polvere evidenzierà la presenza di alcuni oggetti sul pavimento, ridefinendone i connotati e al contempo segnandone la propria struttura architettonica. Accanto a questa installazione verrà presentata una serie di lavori in lattice, lunghi panni multicolore lavorati dall’artista, manufatti dai caratteri pittorici che piegati assumono una forma plastica. Al piano inferiore infine, pensato appositamente per gli spazi della galleria, un lavoro scultoreo dalla forte impronta architettonica abiterà il passaggio fra la prima e la seconda sala, costringendo il visitatore ad aggirare l’opera, che non sarà mai fruibile nella sua interezza.

Diego Miguel Mirabella (Enna, 1988) vive e lavora a Roma. Nel 2013 è invitato al Macro Testaccio nella colletiva “Ortica – Organic Theme in Contemporary Art”; dello stesso anno è la doppia personale “Presupposti per un Dialogo Inesatto” con Mauro Vitturini a Palazzo Lucarini a Trevi (PG). Nel 2012 espone alla Temple University di Roma nella mostra “In Ognuno di Noi”, a cura di Barbara Martusciello e partecipa a “Casa con Vista”, progetto a cura di Daniela Cotimbo.

Operativa Arte Contemporanea is pleased to present, for the first time in its spaces, Diego Miguel Mirabella’s (Enna 1988) personal exhibition. After his participation in the collective project “Il Peso della Mia Luce” (“The Weight of My Light”), with which the gallery has opened its exhibitory activity, the artist presents himself to the public in a solo-show entitled “Entrano Fuggendo” (“They Enter Escaping”) The title, taken from some notes in the edges of Shakespearean comedies, refers to the concept of gaze - already object of Mirabella’s research - conceived as a continuous flow, interrupted by the passage of things that come, manifest themselves and then escape from the visual field. The works on show focus on a closer vision of reality, capturing the essence of the interruptions that cross our gaze, before things flee and overlap in the blurred horizon of interpretation. The exhibition is divided into three distinct moments, corresponding to three different work cycles of the artist’s recent research. In the installation “Tutto Aperto, Tutto Chiuso” (“All Open, Everything Closed”) a continuous fall of dust will highlight the presence of some objects on the floor, redefining their traits meanwhile marking their own architectural structure. The installation will be presented with a series of lattice works consisting of long multicoloured cloths handworked by the artist: pictorially charactered artefacts which, when bent, assume a plastic form. Finally downstairs, specifically designed for the gallery’s space, a sculptural work with a strong architectural stamp will inhabit the passage between the first and the second room, forcing the visitors to move around the work that will never be entirely accessible.

Diego Miguel Mirabella (Enna , 1988) lives and works in Rome. In 2013 he was invited to the Macro Testaccio for the collective project “Ortica - Organic Theme in Contemporary Art”: in the same year the double personal exhibition “Presupposti per un Dialogo Inesatto” (“Assumptions for an Incorrect Dialogue”) with Mauro Vitturini took place at Palazzo Lucarini in Trevi ( PG) . In 2012 he took part to “In Ognuno di Noi” (“In Each of Us”), exhibited by Barbara Martusciello at the Temple University in Rome and participated in “Casa con Vista” (“House Overlooking”), a project curated by Daniela Cotimbo.
